About This Spot

Stepping into The Pizzeria on Independence Boulevard feels like discovering a tucked-away gem where the focus is simply on good food and genuine warmth. This cozy neighborhood spot carries the easygoing rhythm of a place where locals swing by for a comforting slice, whether grabbing takeout before heading home or settling in quietly to savor a meal that tastes familiar and lovingly made.

The atmosphere is unpretentious and inviting, with just enough bustle to keep things lively but never rushed. The modest space hints at a focus on quality over flair, where the aroma of fresh-baked crusts and savory sauces immediately evokes a sense of anticipation. Behind the counter, friendly faces and polite service make it clear that this is a community-driven pizzeria, one where customers are greeted like old friends and the staff’s passion for their craft quietly shines through.

The menu offers a thoughtful selection that celebrates both traditional and creative takes on pizza. Each bite reveals a crust that strikes a balance—chewy yet sturdy—perfectly carrying rich, well-seasoned toppings without overwhelming them. The white pizzas, in particular, stand out with their delicate ricotta cheeses and subtle, fresh additions, while the spicy-sweet elements on specialty pies add layers of interest that keep you coming back for more. It’s a place where each pizza feels like a personal invitation to savor simple pleasures, whether shared over a casual dinner or enjoyed solo during a moment of pause in a busy day.

Despite its modest size and tucked-in location, the pizzeria leaves a lasting impression rooted in authenticity. There’s an unpolished charm here that speaks louder than flashy interiors—one that resonates through a perfect mix of consistent quality, approachable flavors, and genuine human moments shared over pie and soda. Visitors quickly find themselves part of a quiet tradition, coming back time and again to a place where the atmosphere is as comforting as the food itself.

Fantastic pizzeria! We ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni, the Meat Lovers, and the Bianca Classic with mushrooms + black olives. Loved them all! Perfectly chewy crust, lovely red sauce, a hot honey to die for, and a fantastic take on a white pizza with ricotta cheese--made and served by the most polite staff. Highly recommend!

I stopped at "The Pizzeria" on my way to my family's house and I am Glad that I did! The owner and workers were very friendly! I bought a Plain Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, and some sodas. Their pizza was Absolutely Delicious!!! I wish I would have chose a bigger size! My family is from New York and we All Loved this pizza!!! Zero Leftovers...we will be back!

Ordered an 18" cheese with onion, green pepper and chicken along with a 14" Bianca. SUGESTION: Pizza was good but would've preferred the onions and peppers cut thin long ways instead of diced and a little thinner crust to give it more of that NYC feel and taste.

Good pizza and garlic knots Meat lovers pizza, plenty of good quality toppings, good sauce and crust. Garlic knots were good but next time I'll ask for a side of garlic butter Very small place but good quality. Limited days and hours and difficulty getting in and out of the shopping centers are unfortunately big drawbacks. There's lots of competition for both quality and price, I hope they can stay a float.
